Beech is the most common tree found in the mountains of Tohoku. In miyagi they are particularly common in Mt.Kurikoma, Mt.Zao. The ecosystem of the beech forest which includes the beech trees,and other plants, the animals which feed on those plants, fuugi, and myxomycetes, is closely interrelated.

Put the stethoscope on the dead tree, and see if you can hear the worm-eaten sound. 　Look closely at the model of the beech tree using the telescope.
