Introduction Wall
It has exhibited about "Now is the Time to Think of Our Global Environment!".

Global Environment Multi-Vision
The multi-vision includes presentations on four topics:"Energy/Resources/Recycling", "Global Warming", "Water & The Atmosphere", and "Biodiversity in the Galapagos Islands". You can also experience a beautiful kaleidoscope presentation.

Sendai Wildlife Survey Using the IISS
The IISS(Interactive Internet Survey System) wildlife survey in Sendai was created by its citizens for the purpose of environmental study. The concept originated from the 1996 survey of cicadas, and IISS was first used in the 1997 survey of chirping insects(crickets & grasshoppers). Following surveys of dandelions(1998), swallows(1999)and frogs(2000), this method become a cooperative venture in 2001, with the participation of many science museums in Japan useing basic grid square(1km×1km).
It is hoped that the IISS will become an important tool for explaining the relevance of environmental survey through the ease of use and interactivity of Internet.

Energy Shift
It has exhibited about "Sunlight Collection System", "Fuel Cell Power Generation System", "The Solar Energy System of Leaves" and "Solar Energy Pendulum".
This light is from the sun's rays. The light-focusing system is situated on the roofof the museum. It collects sunlight throught its lens and transmits it to the optical fiber. the sunlights travels throught the optical fiber and eventually comes out here.

Surveying the Environment
There are four systems.
 "Networked Camera"
This system shows a selection of six live views from Dainohara Forest Park.

 "Weather Station"
This data is taken from meteorological observation equipment in Dinohara Forest Park. These systems is powered by wind- and solar powered electricity.

"Information on Current Nitrogen Dioxide Levels"
Date is available on nitrogen dioxide levels measured in 15 different points in Sendai. Each entry is updated every hour.

 "Information on Temperature in Sendai"
Hourly information on temperature variation in Sendai according to observation equipment set up in 20 elementary schools around the city may be viewed on this screen.

Wetlands
One of the characteristics of wetlands(including marshes) is their rith bioligical diversity. it is now known that rice fields also function in the same way as a marsh. This wetland exhibition includes features such as:"Biomass Pyramid Game of Index Wildlife Found in Rice Fields", and "Equipment for Observing Live Volvox Through a Digital Microscope".

Hirose River and its Environments
There is a model of each valley of the Hirose river
(Model of River Source, Reduced Scale Model of Upstream, Midstream, Downstream and River Mouth Section)
On the model, water is actually flowing and you can touch it.
